The Shycocan needs to be installed at a height of between 7 to 10 feet above the ground focused at an angle pointing towards the opposite diagonal bottom corner of the room to ensure maximum coverage. You can test whether the device is functioning or not by holding a CFL bulb or tubelight in front of it. When the device is switched on, these will start flickering.
